Why OSSC candidates demand re-examination?

OSSC candidates in Bhubaneswar ptotested massively for the cancellation and re- examination of RI and amin re-examinations, on thursday, the aspirants staged proof in cuttack.

People are upset because a ‘blacklisted’ organization handled an exam poorly. To show their frustration, they are making paper boats from their admit cards and floating them in the Kathajodi River near the Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal. They want the organization removed from future exams and are asking for a re-exam.

“Job appointments have turned into a business, putting students’ futures at risk. A blacklisted company has been given exam duties. To protest, we’re making paper boats from our admit cards and sending them down the Kathajodi River. We demand an immediate re-examination, or thousands of students will join the protests,” said one aspirant.

Effect of irregularities of exam conduction:-

Improper exam conduction can seriously impact students’ lives. It can lead to unfair evaluations, increased stress, and a lack of trust in the education system. When exams are poorly managed, students may feel discouraged and demotivated, undermining their efforts and aspirations. Exams need to be conducted fairly and transparently to ensure that all students have a level playing field and can pursue their goals confidently.

How government can help these students:-

  1. Investigate the Organization: Conduct a thorough investigation into the blacklisted organization’s role in the exam conduction to understand the extent of the irregularities and hold them accountable.
  2. Cancel the Current Exam Results: Given the concerns raised by the candidates, the government should consider canceling the current exam results for the RI and Amin positions to restore trust.
  3. Conduct a Re-Examination: Organize a fair and transparent re-examination process, ensuring that it is overseen by a credible and trustworthy organization.
  4. Improve Examination Protocols: Implement stricter guidelines and oversight for organizations conducting examinations to prevent similar issues in the future.
  5. Increase Communication with Candidates: Establish open lines of communication with students to address their concerns and keep them informed about the steps being taken to rectify the situation.
  6. Support for Affected Students: Provide support to candidates who have been affected by these irregularities, including counseling and resources for future exam preparations.
  7. Review Policy on Exam Conduct: Reassess policies regarding the selection of organizations for conducting exams to ensure that only reputable entities are entrusted with such responsibilities.

the above actions by the government can help the students in regaining their confidence and trust towards examinations.
